Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 33-year-old Terrance Boyd of Buffalo was sentenced yesterday afternoon before State Supreme Court Justice Paul B. Wojtaszek to 16 years to life in prison. He was sentenced as a persistent violent felony offender.
In October 2023, a jury found Boyd guilty of one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class āCā violent felony) after approximately two hours of deliberation following a four-day trial, convicting the defendant of the only charge in the indictment against him.
DA Flynn commends Officers Lyana Luciano and Mohammad Ibrahim of the Buffalo Police Department for their work in this investigation.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Samantha N. King of the Narcotics/Intelligence Bureau and Assistant District Attorney John P. Gerken, Jr. of the Homicide Bureau.
