Buffalo Man Indicted on Murder and Gun Charges for Fatally Shooting Victim on Fourth of July

Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announces that 27-year-old Lamarrio A. Clark of Buffalo was indicted this afternoon before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan on one count of Murder in the Second Degree (Class ā€œA-Iā€ felony) and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class ā€œCā€ violent felony). 

 

It is alleged that on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Buffalo Police officers responded to a reported shooting on the first block of Warring Avenue near Genesee Street. The victim, 28-year-old Corbin J. Kinsey, Sr., was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he later died. The defendant is accused of shooting the victim with an illegal handgun with the intent to cause his death.

 

Clark is scheduled to return on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. for a pre-trial conference. He remains held without bail. 

 

If convicted of the highest charge, Clark faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison. 

 

Acting DA Keane commends the Buffalo Police Department for their work in this investigation. 

 

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney John P. Gerken, Jr. of the Homicide Bureau.

 

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
