Buffalo Man Arraigned on Murder and Gun Charges for Fatally Shooting Victim on Fourth of July

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 27-year-old Lamarrio A. Clark of Buffalo was arraigned on Friday morning before Buffalo City Court Judge Diane Wray on one count of Murder in the Second Degree (Class ā€œA-Iā€ felony) and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class ā€œCā€ violent felony). 

It is alleged that on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Buffalo Police officers responded to a reported shooting on the first block of Warring Avenue near Genesee Street. The victim, 28-year-old Corbin J. Kinsey, Sr., was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he later died. The defendant is accused of shooting the victim with an illegal handgun with the intent to cause his death. 

Clark is scheduled to return on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. for a felony hearing. He was held without bail.  

If convicted of the highest charge, Clark faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison. 

DA Flynn commends the Buffalo Police Department for their work in this investigation. 

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney John P. Gerken, Jr. of the Homicide Bureau.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
