Susan Fenster

Susan Fenster is a historian and author with more than 30 years of writing experience. A graduate of Buffalo State College with degrees in History and Journalism, she has dedicated her career to documenting the stories and people who shaped New York State. Her forthcoming book explores the remarkable life of Harry Altman, the legendary operator of Buffalo’s Town Casino and the Glen Casino in Williamsville. Once the region’s premier entertainment venues, these showplaces hosted some of the nation’s biggest stars and helped define the cultural heartbeat of Western New York in the mid-20th century. She is an active member of the Williamsville Historical Preservation Commission and the Williamsville Historical Society. Harry Altman: Buffalo's Master Showman will be her fourth work of nonfiction. She currently lives in the Village of Williamsville.
