Erie County Legislator Joe Lorigo recently visited the West Seneca and East Aurora Police Departments to highlight Crime Prevention Month in Erie County.
Crime Prevention Month is nationally recognized in October each year. Legislator Lorigo presented members of the West Seneca and East Aurora Police Departments with proclamations thanking them for their efforts to keep communities safe and combat crime.
Legislator Lorigo said, “Now, more than ever, we need to support our local law enforcement agencies. These men and women make great sacrifices to protect our communities and it’s important to recognize their hard work and bravery.”
While at the West Seneca Police Department, officers also showed Legislator Lorigo a new drone they were able to purchase through Erie County funding he secured.
“This new technology will help solve crime and assist in search and rescue efforts,” Legislator Lorigo added. “I appreciate officers taking the time to demonstrate how it is used, and I will always advocate for additional funding to support law enforcement.”
