Erie County Legislator Lindsay Lorigo is kicking off a toiletry drive for veterans. The 10th District legislator is teaming up with Jessica Steele, founder and director of the Concord Veteran Care Project to collect the toiletry items.
“There is a lot of need out there. It’s important that we help our veterans after they have sacrificed so much. I’m proud to join the Concord Veteran Care Project in collecting these items for retired and active service members,” said Legislator Lorigo.
Once the items are collected, Legislator Lorigo and Jessica Steele will be working with other local and national organizations to get these items to local veterans, some of whom are at risk of homelessness, and actively deployed service members.
Items needed include toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, towels, washcloths, deodorant, bandages/first aid kits, socks and beanie hats,
Collection bins will be set up from November 1 to November 29th at the following locations:
- Libraries: West Seneca, East Aurora, Elma, West Falls/Colden, and Springville
- Senior Centers: West Seneca, Aurora, Springville/Concord
- West Seneca Community Center
- School Districts: West Seneca Central, Iroquois, Holland Central
- West Seneca American Legion
- The Law Office of Ralph C. Lorigo
