ERIE COUNTY, NY — Erie County Legislator Lindsay Lorigo has secured funding to support the Junior Counselor Program at Camp Ska-No-Ka-San, operated by the East Aurora Boys & Girls Club in Holland, NY. The program offers teens from across Erie County valuable leadership training, job readiness skills, and hands-on experience mentoring younger campers.
“This program is an investment in our future leaders,” said Legislator Lorigo. “It helps teens build confidence, take on responsibility, and prepare for what’s next—whether that’s a first job, college, or community involvement.”
Neil Parrish, Program Unit Director of the East Aurora Boys & Girls Club, added, “This opportunity allows teens to grow in maturity, communication, and problem-solving while serving as role models. We’re grateful for this support, which helps us continue offering meaningful development opportunities for youth.”
Camp Ska-No-Ka-San welcomes campers from across Erie County each summer, providing outdoor recreation, team-building, and personal growth in a supportive environment.
