The Erie County Legislature approved a measure at its Thursday, December 19 session for the reconstruction of the Sanders Hill Road Bridge. The contract, with Union Concrete and Construction, provides $1.65 million to do the needed work.
“That bridge needs repairs and reconstruction, for the safety of motorists and residents. It’s important that Erie County continues to ensure our infrastructure is maintained, and that proper funding to address those needs is secured,” said Erie County Legislator Lindsay Lorigo.
The bridge is considered to be in fair condition but has had temporary concrete barriers in front of the existing rails for many years.
