Legislator Lorigo stopped by FISH of East Aurora to learn more about their efforts to help provide food and clothing for area families. The organization is a volunteer, Christian non-profit community entity providing free services to low-income families in the Southtowns. They now serve more than 300 families each month.

Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro joined Congresswoman Elise Stefanik on a tour of Sealing Devices, located on Walden Avenue in Lancaster. The company was founded in 1963 by the Galanis family. They are a premier manufacturer and distributor of seals and gaskets, providing products for industrial, communication and IT, the military and aerospace industries, among others. Terry Galanis, Jr. is the current Chairman and CEO. Elizabeth Galanis-Miller is President and COO.

Erie County Legislator Chris Greene recognized Coach Gary Sundown, who is retiring from the Akron Tigers lacrosse program, a program he helped build from the ground up and transform into one of WNY's most respected athletic institutions. He helped to create the school's first varsity lacrosse team. Under Coach Sundown's leadership, the Akron Tigers amassed a record of 122-43, won 8 Section VI titles and two Far West Regional championships. He is joined by his son, Larson, who plays for the Ottawa Black Bears.

Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro honored Eagle Scout Joseph Trusiak, who was recently presented with the Boy Scouts of America National Medal of Merit for saving a man's life with the Heimlich Maneuver. Joseph was working at Russell's Steaks when a customer began choking. Thanks to his scout training and quick thinking, he performed the Heimlich Maneuver on Herbert Hale.

County Executive Poloncarz has stated he supports and will abide by the directive given by Governor Hochul. Legislator Lorigo stated that she stands with the former DOCCS employees on this matter and believes they should have the right to future employment wherever they wish.
