Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz today issued the following statement on the passing of Florence “Flo” Tripi, President of CSEA Region 6:

Poloncarz said, “I am very saddened to learn of the passing of Florence "Flo" Tripi, the president of CSEA Region 6 which includes Erie County. Flo was an example of ‘never judge a book by its cover’; while she was short in stature she was a giant when it came to fighting for the working men and women of our region and country. We spoke often about the issues facing Erie County, New York and our nation. I know she passionately cared for the men and women she represented, and that passion carried over to her advocacy for them. I offer my deepest condolences to her family and friends, as well as the entire CSEA family at this sad time.”
