County Executive Joins in Celebration, Presents Proclamation at East Aurora Senior Center
ERIE COUNTY, NY— Today, Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz recognized Nance Baranowski as November’s “Senior of the Month” for Erie County in a surprise celebration attended by friends and well-wishers at the East Aurora Senior Center. Ms. Baranowski is an extraordinary, community-oriented person and a driving force in the area volunteer leadership program. Since her retirement as a social studies teacher for the Iroquois Central School District she has directed her energies and talents toward those things that serve to improve and benefit quality of life, evidenced by her more than 15 years serving as a line dance instructor for a large senior group at the Aurora Center and leadership position with the Marilla Historical Society.
“I am pleased to honor Nance as November’s ‘Senior of the Month’ and enjoyed presenting her with a proclamation with her friends in attendance,” said Poloncarz. “Like seniors we have honored all across Erie County, Nance continues to give back to her community, share from her life experience, and have a positive impact on the people around her. We are a better community because of her volunteer service to her neighbors.”
