Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 47-year-old Allen Kazmierczak of Buffalo pleaded guilty today before State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia to one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-1” felony. The defendant pleaded guilty to the only charge in the indictment against him.
On August 4, 2019, the defendant fatally shot his wife, 52-year-old Melissa Kazmierczak, multiple times inside their home on Stanton Street in the City of Buffalo.
Kazmierczak faces 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on Monday, December 7, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. He remains held without bail.
DA Flynn commends Det. Scott Malec of the Buffalo Police Department Homicide Squad for his work in the investigation.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Eugene T. Partridge, III of the DA’s Homicide Bureau.
