Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 40-year-old Adam A. Jones of Buffalo was arraigned on Thursday morning before Hamburg Town Court Justice Gerald Gorman on three counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree and one count of Placing a False Bomb or Hazardous Substance in the Second Degree (Class “E” felonies).
It is alleged that on March 6, 2022, at approximately 7:12 p.m., the defendant, with the intent to cause damage to the property of another person, threw a rock at a home on Hillbrook Drive in the Town of Eden. The defendant is accused of intentionally damaging the window trim and the siding of the home.
It is alleged that on March 28, 2022, at approximately 3:02 a.m., the defendant, with the intent to cause damage to the property of another person, threw a partially completed pipe bomb through the front window of second home on Hillbrook Drive in the Town of Eden, which caused the window to break. The defendant is accused of throwing the object, which appeared to be an explosive device, at the home with the intent to cause public alarm.
It is alleged that on August 15, 2022, at approximately 3:38 a.m., the defendant, with the intent to cause damage to the property of another person, threw rocks at the front window of the first home on Hillbrook Drive in the Town of Eden. The defendant is accused of intentionally breaking the window.
The case was transferred to Hamburg Town Court after both Eden Town Court Justice recused themselves from the case.
Jones is scheduled to return on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. for a felony hearing. Bail was set at $2,500 cash, bond or partially secured bond.
If convicted of the highest charge, Jones faces a maximum sentence of four years in prison.
A temporary no-contact order of protection was issued on behalf of the victims.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lauren L. Wardynski of the Justice Courts Bureau.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
