Man Charged With Murder in Pandora's Sports Bar Shooting

 Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 20 year old Taire Chaney aka “T” of 22 Roehrer, Buffalo, will be arraigned this morning before County Court Judge Michael Pietruszka on an indictment charging him with Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

It is alleged that on March 2, 2012, outside of Pandora’s Sports Bar, 2261 Fillmore Avenue, Buffalo, Chaney murdered 20 year old Anthony Pitts of 373 S. Division Street, Buffalo, by shooting him. 

If convicted of these crimes Chaney faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years to life.     

In a separate matter, Chaney has also been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree after a March 6, 2012 arrest by Buffalo Police.  In that matter, Chaney is alleged to have possessed a loaded 9mm pistol.  Charges relating to this arrest will likely be presented to an Erie County Grand Jury.
