President of Youth Football League Admits Stealing from League

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 43 year old David Mascio of 6879 Chaffee Court, Derby, pleaded guilty to Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree before County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk. 

Mascio admitted that while serving as the President and active Treasurer of the Lakeshore Youth Football League from February 2, 2011 to June 7, 2011, he stole approximately $5,070 by cashing checks made payable to himself.  Mascio also admitted taking sums of cash over a longer period of time in the sum of $8,000 from the concession stand proceeds. 

Sentencing is scheduled for January 28, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. before the Hon. Thomas P. Franczyk when Mascio faces a maximum prison sentence of 2 to 4 years.
