Brant Woman Pleads Guilty to Vehicular Manslaughter

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 24 year old Danielle Kellogg of 10380 Brant Angola Road, Brant, pleaded guilty this afternoon before County Court Judge Michael D’Amico to Vehicular Manslaughter in the First Degree.   This is a higher charge than initially filed. 

Kellogg admitted that on November 27, 2012 while driving intoxicated on Southwestern Boulevard in Brant, she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the center line and crashed into the vehicle driven by Denise Hine causing the death of Hine’s seven month old daughter, Baylee Dion.  Kellogg was previously convicted of driving while ability impaired by alcohol in 2010 in Chautauqua County. 

Kellogg faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years in prison when she is sentenced before the Hon. Michael D’Amico on May 22, 2013 at 9:30 a.m.
