Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 50 year old Luke Mumbach of 4315 Keller Road, Eden, pleaded guilty, as charged, to Grand Larceny in the Second Degree before State Supreme Court Justice John L. Michalski. This is the highest charge for which he could have been convicted had he gone to trial.

Mumbach admitted that during the period June, 2009 through August 31, 2011, while owner of the Buffalo Street Grill located at 61 Buffalo Street, Hamburg, he failed to file eight quarterly sales tax returns and thus stole $72,592.61.

The case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Gary M. Ertel, who is assigned to DA Sedita’s Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau. Mumbach faces a maximum prison term of 5 - 15 years when he is sentenced before Justice Michalski on November 12, 2013 at 9:30 a.m.
