Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 55 year old Debora Gramza of 120 Moorman, Cheektowaga, pleaded guilty, as charged, to Grand Larceny in the Second Degree, Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree and Offering False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree before County Court Judge Kenneth F. Case.  These are the highest charges for which Gramza could have been convicted had she gone to trial.

Gramza admitted that during the period December 12, 2008 through July 29, 2013, while employed as a bookkeeper by Accadia Site Contracting, Inc. located at 5636 Transit Road, Depew, she stole approximately $704,353.46 by forging checks to herself using a stamp signature and falsifying the check register without permission and authority of Accadia Site Contracting.  Shockingly, Gramza failed to declare this as income on her New York State personal income taxes, resulting in a liability owed of $32,568.

The case was successfully prosecuted by ADA Candace K. Vogel and ADA Gary M. Ertel of the Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau.

Gramza faces a maximum prison term of 15 years when she is sentenced before Judge Case on January 14, 2013.
