Three Charged in Robbery at Our Lady of Charity in Buffalo

Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 21 year-old Daniel Bernardi a/k/a Daniel Dirandi; 25 year-old Duane Dalton , a/k/a Buddy; and 31 year-old Michael Rodriguez, all of 36 Harvey Place, Buffalo, will be  arraigned at 9:30 a.m. today  before County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio on an indictment charging them all with Robbery in the First Degree and Burglary in the First Degree. 

It is alleged that on September 27, 2013, Bernardi, Dalton and Rodriguez unlawfully entered the rectory of Our Lady of Charity (formerly St. Ambrose), located at 65 Ridgewood Road, Buffalo, tied up Monsignor David Lee and stole parish money, as well as personal property and money belonging to the Monsignor. 

If convicted of these crimes Bernardi, Dalton and Rodriguez each face a maximum prison sentence of 25 years.  Like all defendants accused of a crime, Bernardi, Dalton and Rodriguez are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
