Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 19 year-old Jasmine J. Rios of 68 Robinson Street, Silver Creek, was arraigned  before County Court Judge Kenneth F. Case on an indictment charging her with Conspiracy in the Second Degree and two counts of Hindering Prosecution in the First Degree.  Rios was extradited from Arizona. 

It is alleged that on or about July 9, 2012, Rios and Cody R. Testerman, the ex-girlfriend and brother respectively of the victim, Jesse Seneca, conspired to kill him.  On July 10, 2012, Testerman fatally stabbed the victim in an open field off Brant Reservation Road.  Thereafter, Rios and Testerman allegedly hid evidence of the murder and provided false accounts to the investigating Sheriff’s detectives.  Testerman has pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree before Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller and is awaiting sentencing.

If convicted of these crimes Rios faces a maximum prison sentence of 8-1/2 to 25 years.  Like all defendants accused of a crime, Rios is legally presumed to be innocent until her guilt is proven in a court of law.
