Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 34 year-old Albert Manns, Jr. of Buffalo pleaded guilty, as charged, to an indictment charging him with one count of Grand Larceny in the Second Degree before Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang.  This is the highest charge for which Manns could have been convicted had he gone to trial.

Manns admitted that between January 1, 2013 and October 24, 2013, he stole $160,000.00 worth of metal parts from his then current employer, Cole Tech Industries at 3852 Broadway in Cheektowaga.  He then sold the metal to local scrap metal dealers.

The case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Brian P. Dassero of DA Sedita’s Special Investigations Bureau.  Manns faces a maximum sentence of 5 to 15 year in state prison when he is sentenced on March 25, 2014 before Justice Wolfgang.
