Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announces that Erie County 1^st Assistant District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. has received the prestigious Morgenthau Award from the District Attorneys Association of the State of New York. Named after legendary Manhattan DA Robert M. Morgenthau, the award is bestowed annually to that prosecutor whose professional accomplishments best epitomize honesty, integrity and commitment to the fair and ethical administration of justice.

In addition, the Criminal Justice Section of the New York State Bar Association has named Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III as New York State’s Outstanding Prosecutor. Mr. Sedita was also recognized as New York State’s top prosecutor in 2006 by the District Attorneys Association of the State of New York.
