Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III announced that 40 year-old David Anderson of Fillmore, New York has been found guilty as charged of two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree after a non-jury trial before Hon. M. William Boller, J.S.C.  These were the highest counts of the indictment.

At around midnight of May 30, 2013, Buffalo Officer Nicholas Parisi pulled over Anderson because he was driving his truck the wrong way on Auburn Avenue in the City of Buffalo.  Anderson was found in possession of a loaded rifle, two loaded and unlicensed pistols, a silencer for one of the pistols, over 180 rounds of ammunition, a knife, and handcuffs. Anderson claimed he was searching for a prostitute, sheepishly admitting that he was always looking for love in all the wrong places and in too many faces.

Anderson was remanded into custody pending sentencing on May 13, 2014 and faces a maximum prison term of 15 years on these charges.

The case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Paul J. Glascott, who is assigned to DA Sedita’s Felony Trials Bureau.
