Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that on June 5, 2014, 19 year-old Jibraun Mostiller, of Buffalo, was found guilty as charged of Burglary in the Second Degree following a jury trial before Acting State Supreme Court Justice William Boller. The jury deliberated for less than two hours before it convicted Mostiller of the highest count of the indictment.

Mostiller’s conviction stems from an October 18, 2013, daytime residential burglary of 596 Taunton Place in the City of Buffalo. No stranger to law enforcement, this incident marked the fourth time Mostiller has been arrested for burglary since 2012.

Mostiller faces a maximum prison term of 15 years as a second violent felony offender when he is sentenced before Justice Boller on July 16, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.

Assistant District Attorney Christopher P. Jurusik, who is assigned to DA Sedita’s Financial Crimes Bureau, successfully prosecuted the case.
