Son to be Charged with Murder in Death of His Father

District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announces that 21 year-old Sean P. Keenan of 2 Hillsboro Drive, Orchard Park, will be arraigned at 9:30 a.m. before Erie County Court Judge Michael Pietruszka on an indictment charging him with Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the Second Degree and Attempted Escape in the First Degree. 

It is alleged that on or about July 7, 2014 at 2 Hillsboro Drive, Orchard Park, Keenan murdered his 70 year old father, John Keenan, by beating and/or stabbing him.  It is further alleged that while under arrest for the murder, the defendant tried to escape from custody at the Orchard Park Police Department and while doing so, caused physical injury to Det. Lt. Patrick McMaster. 

If convicted of this crime, Keenan faces a maximum prison sentence of 32 years to life. 

Like all defendants accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
