District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announces that 27 year-old Daniel W. Whiting of 135 Madison Avenue, Lackawanna, will be arraigned at 2:00 p.m. before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth F. Case on an indictment charging him with Murder in the Second Degree.

It is alleged that on July 1, 2015 at 135 Madison Avenue, Lackawanna, Whiting murdered his wife, 21 year-old Ashley Whiting, by stabbing her. 

If convicted of this crime, Whiting faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years to life. 

Like all defendants accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
