Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty To Gun Charge

Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces 28-year-old Kyle Alexander, AKA “500” of 456 Hewitt, Buffalo pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

On June 20, 2015, Alexander went to the home of his ex-girlfriend at 753 Kensington Ave. Buffalo, and pointed a gun at her new boyfriend threatening to harm him.

Alexander is a prior violent felon who pleaded guilty in 2008 to Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree and in 2009, pleaded guilty to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

Alexander faces 7 to 15 years in prison when he sentenced on May 2, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. by Justice Burns. 

Acting DA Flaherty commends Buffalo Police Officers Peter Miller and Rachel Isch for their quick response and thorough investigation.

Assistant District Attorney Justin T. Wallens prosecuted the case.
