Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces 39-year-old Wayne Wilson of Bailey Avenue, Buffalo has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison by State Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang.

In March of 2016, Wilson pleaded guilty to one count of Robbery in the First Degree and one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree for his role in two separate incidents.

On December 17, 2014, Wilson threw a brick at the head of 61-year-old Lewis Browning of Buffalo then beat him with a hockey stick and stabbed him, causing his death.

On December 23, 2014, Wilson pointed a handgun at a victim on a Buffalo street and robbed him of $900.

Wilson is a persistent violent felony offender who was convicted of Robbery in 1997 and Attempted Robbery in 2003.
