Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 22-year-old Michael Holley of 221 Sprenger St., Buffalo has been sentenced to 15 years in state prison followed by five years post-release supervision by State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller.

On July 24, 2015, Holley entered the home, carrying a shotgun, looking to confront his uncle. While inside the house, Holley ultimately shot 54-year old Glendyln (known as Marie) Kinnitt of Buffalo who was seated on the couch, killing her.
Acting DA Flaherty commends Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives Timothy Salamone, Michael Mordino, Reginald Minor, Patricia Wrest and Joy Germaine for their thorough investigative work.
Assistant District Attorneys John P. Feroleto and Frank A. Strano prosecuted the case.
