Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter

Acting District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 39-year-old Demario Washington of 92 Fernhill, Buffalo, has pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree before State Supreme Court Justice Christopher Burns.

On January 29, 2016, while inside the home of the victim at 1 Curry Walk, Buffalo, Washington fatally shot 55 year-old Elroy Damidaux.

Washington faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced by Justice Burns on July 28, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.

DA Flaherty commends Buffalo Police Homicide Detective Timothy Salamone for his investigative work.

Assistant District Attorney Gary W. Hackbush is prosecuting the case.
