Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces 46-year-old Mercedes Rosado of Buffalo has pleaded guilty to Robbery in the First Degree before Erie County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk.
On August 22, 2016, Rosado attacked 17-year-old Jaqualine Rosado (no relation) of Buffalo with a meat cleaver, cutting her face and breaking her nose and stealing her shoes and purse.
Mercedes Rosado faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when she is sentenced August 25, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. by Judge Franczyk. She was remanded to jail.

Assistant District Attorney Sara Dee prosecuted the case.
