Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that  24-year-old Evander Kane of Buffalo has been arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Barbara Johnson-Lee on one count of Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree, four counts of Harassment in the Second Degree and one count of Disorderly Conduct.

It is alleged that on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Bottoms Up bar at 69 W. Chippewa Street in Buffalo, the defendant refused to leave the premises after being ordered to do so by a security guard.  The defendant is also accused of harassing several people inside the bar.

Kane pleaded not guilty and was released.  He will be back in court on September 9, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. for a pre-trial conference before Judge Johnson-Lee.

If convicted of all the charges, Kane could face a maximum of 90 days in jail.

DA Flaherty commends the investigative work of the Buffalo Police Department “B” District, including Chief Joseph Gramaglia and Detective Daniel Barrett.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
