Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr. announces that 22-year-old Joshua Negron of Niagara Street in Buffalo has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to three years in prison plus 2 years post-release supervision for selling heroin. 

On June 30, 2016, the defendant pleaded guilty to three counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. 

On three separate occasions, defendant sold heroin to an undercover police officer. The sales occurred in July, August and September of 2015 in the vicinity of Niagara and Hudson in the City of Buffalo. 

“One way to help curb the opiate crisis in our community is to lock up those people who are peddling this poison,” says acting DA Flaherty. “Our office is committed to taking a tough stance on these cases.” 

Acting DA Flaherty commends the investigative work of the Narcotics Unit at the Buffalo Police Department for making the arrest.
