Buffalo Teen Sentenced in Death of Ohio Man

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 19-year old Floyd Johnson of 34 Custer St. in Buffalo has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia to 20 years in prison.

On March 31, 2016, Johnson pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree.

On June 6, 2015 in the vicinity of 486 Sherman St. in Buffalo, Johnson fatally shot 20-year-old Deon’dra Lamar Smith of Warren, Ohio.

DA Flynn commends the Buffalo Police Homicide Squad, including Detectives Christopher Sterlace, Reginald Minor, Antonio Borelli and Daniel Redmond.

Assistant District Attorneys Gary W. Hackbush and Meghan E. Leydecker prosecuted the case.
