Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 53-year-old Robert Kirisits of Tonawanda has pleaded guilty before Erie Supreme Court Judge John L. Michalski to one count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, one count of Identity Theft in the First Degree and one count of Forgery in the Second Degree. 

Between July of 2013 and July of 2015, while serving as the manager of Transpo Bus Services, LLC, in Tonawanda, Kirisits stole $41,236.18 from the business by diverting checks into his personal bank account and writing unauthorized checks to cash.  

Kirisits also used the personal identifying information of the bus company’s owner to obtain a $100,000 loan and forged the owner’s signature on the loan application.  

The defendant faces up to seven (7) years in prison when he is sentenced on November 9, 2017 at 9:30a.m. by Judge Michalski.

Assistant District Attorney Christopher P. Jurusik from the DA’s Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau prosecuted the case.
