Buffalo Man Is Sentenced For Deadly Shooting

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 20-year-old Russell Adams of Buffalo has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia to 21 years in prison and five years post-release supervision. 

In April, the defendant pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree. 

On August 31, 2016, the defendant fatally shot the victim, 29-year-old Myron Kemp of Buffalo, at the intersection of Grant and Breckenridge in Buffalo. 

DA Flynn commends the Buffalo Homicide Squad, including Antonio Borelli, Bill Cooley, John Garcia, and Daniel Redmond. 

Assistant District Attorney John Patrick Feroleto of the DA’s Homicide Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Christopher Safulko prosecuted the case.
