Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 33-year-old D’Andre Gatson of Buffalo has pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk to one count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and one count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree.
The defendant admitted to selling heroin to an undercover police officer on August 31, 2016, in the area of Ashley and Millburn Streets in the City of Buffalo. He also admitted to selling ketamine, an anesthetic drug, to an undercover officer on August 9, 2016 at that same location.
Gatson faces between 6 and 15 years in state prison when he is sentenced on January 16, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.
Gatson is also awaiting sentencing on a separate narcotics indictment filed in St. Lawrence County.
DA Flynn commends the Cheektowaga Narcotics Unit for its investigative work.
Assistant District Attorney James W. Mansour II of the DA’s Narcotics Bureau prosecuted the case.
