Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 31-year-old Reginald Alls of Buffalo has pleaded guilty to Leaving the Scene of an Incident Resulting in Serious Physical Injury before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi for a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured another driver.
On March 5, 2017, at about 4:00 p.m. at Grant St. and Garner in Buffalo, the defendant ran a stop sign and struck another car with 3 occupants, seriously injuring the driver. The defendant then crashed into a concrete wall, and he and a passenger ran from the vehicle.
The defendant left behind his NYS Learner's Permit and cellphone. Additionally, he left a hat and an empty liquor bottle. DNA analysis on the items found in the car led to the defendant’s arrest.
The 43-year-old driver of the vehicle struck sustained spinal fractures, broken ribs, tibia, legs and sternum.
Alls faces up to four years in prison when he is sentenced by Judge Bargnesi on December 7, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.
