Buffalo Woman Convicted Of Manslaughter In Stabbing Death Of Boyfriend

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces 43-year-old Veronica Reynolds of Buffalo has been found guilty of Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Assault in the Third Degree by Erie County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio after presiding over the non-jury trial. 

On July 6, 2016, Reynolds fatally stabbed her boyfriend, 59-year-old Brian Smith in his apartment on Mohr Street in Buffalo.  

Reynolds faces a maximum of 15 years in prison when she is sentenced by Judge DiTullio on November 30, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. 

DA Flynn commends Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives Joy Jermain, James Kaska, Patricia Wrest and Richard Wagstaff for their thorough investigation. 

Assistant District Attorneys John Patrick Feroleto and Lynette M. Reda prosecuted the case.
