Bank Robber Pleads Guilty To Hold-Up

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 60-year-old Harry Charnock of Buffalo has pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi to Robbery in the Third Degree.

On September 23, 2017, at about 10:30 a.m., Charnock robbed the Bank of America at 495 Elmwood in Buffalo.

Police were led to the defendant after he was identified through a picture taken from bank surveillance video that was reported by media outlets.

Charnock faces up to 7 years in prison when he is sentenced by Judge Bargnesi on November 29, 2017 at 2 p.m.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of Buffalo Police Officers Joelle Bence, Edwin Torres and Melissa Brinson.

Assistant District Attorney John P. Gerken, Jr. of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau prosecuted the case.
