Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 23-year-old Keion Robbins of Buffalo was sentenced by Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi to 15 years in prison.

On the afternoon of November 21, 2016, Robbins and co-defendant Jaylen Wallace kicked in the side door of a home on Clayton Avenue in the City of Buffalo. Robbins, who was armed with a pistol, stole money from a safe in the upstairs bedroom. When confronted by the resident and his friends downstairs, Robbins fired shots, hitting one man in the head and back. The victim received emergency surgery and survived. 

Buffalo Police Detectives were unable to locate Robbins for several months, but he was eventually apprehended on June 19, 2017.

Robbins pleaded guilty to Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Burglary in the First Degree.

The other defendant in the case, Jaylen Wallace, is scheduled to return before Judge Bargnesi on Thursday, February 15.
