Felon Pleads Guilty to Possession of a Gun

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 27-year-old Antuan Yeomas of Buffalo pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

On December 28, 2016, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at an apartment on Fillmore Avenue in the City of Buffalo. Deputies found an unloaded assault weapon under a bassinet and several rounds nearby.

Yeomas, a second time felony offender, is scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday, April 4 at 10:30 a.m. He faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit.

Assistant District Attorney James W. Mansour II of the DA’s Narcotics Bureau and Assistant District Attorney Lauren M. Silverstein prosecuted the case.
