Inmate Arraigned on Charges for Attack on Defense Attorney

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 54-year-old Mark Dublino of Cheektowaga has been arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Debra Givens on one count of felony Assault While Confined in a Correctional Facility and one count of Attempted Assault with Intent to Cause Serious Injury.

On Friday, March 9, the defendant attacked his defense attorney during a meeting inside the Erie County Holding Center.

Dublino is scheduled to return on March 20 at 9:30 a.m. He remains remanded without bail.

If convicted on all charges, Dublino faces a maximum of 7 years.

Assistant District Attorney Diane Meldrim is prosecuting the case.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
