Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 43-year-old Donald Clark of Buffalo pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class D violent felony. 

On May 20, 2017, Buffalo Police 911 received an anonymous call, reporting that a man pointed a gun at a female motorist. The caller provided a description of the defendant as well as a license plate number.

Within minutes, a Buffalo Police patrol officer located the vehicle on Bailey and Connelly Avenues, and issued a traffic stop. The defendant was ordered out of the vehicle, and officers recovered a loaded .38 special revolver from the defendant’s waistband.

Clark, a second violent felony offender, faces a maximum of 7 years in prison followed by 5 years post-release supervision when he is sentenced on Tuesday, June 12 at 2 p.m.

DA Flynn commends Lt. Mitch Thomas and the other Buffalo Police officers involved for their thorough investigative work.

Assistant District Attorneys Ryan D. Haggerty and Lauren Nash of the DA’s Tactical Prosecution Unit as well as Assistant District Attorney Alicia M. Lilley of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau prosecuted the case.
