Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 38-year-old Abdirahman Muse of Buffalo has been found guilty of one count of Forcible Touching, one count of Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree and one count of Harassment in the Second Degree following a two-day bench trial.

During late evening of December 31, 2016, the defendant, while working as a taxi driver, inappropriately touched a female passenger and propositioned her for sex as he drove the victim home from a local establishment. 

Muse faces a maximum of one year in jail when he is sentenced by Buffalo City Court Judge Kevin J. Keane on Tuesday, September 11 at 9:30 a.m.

He remains remanded on $1,000 cash or bond.

The defendant has a prior conviction for attempted forcible touching from an incident in the Town of Amherst in 2012. He will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.
