Buffalo Man Charged for Fatal Shooting on I-190

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 22-year-old Juan Colon of Buffalo was arraigned before Acting Buffalo City Court Judge James Faso on Saturday, July 14. He has been charged with one count of Murder in the Second Degree.

It is alleged that on July 9, 2018, at approximately 6 p.m., the defendant fatally shot 26-year-old Angel Marcialof Buffalo as he was driving on the I-190 North near the Niagara Street exit.

The defendant was remanded. He is scheduled to return on Thursday, July 19 at 9:30 a.m. for a felony hearing. 

If convicted on the charge, Colon faces 25 years to life in prison.

Assistant District Attorney Eugene T. Partridge, III, of the DA’s Homicide Bureau is prosecuting the case.

DA Flynn commends New York State Police, including Investigators Chris Weber and John McCusker.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
