Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 25-year-old Michael Daniels of Buffalo pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi to three counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. The defendant pleaded guilty to the highest charges in the indictment against him.

On three separate occasions between May 8 and May 17, 2018, the defendant sold heroin to an undercover officer in the vicinity of the LaSalle Court housing complex on Blum Avenue in the City of Buffalo. On two of the occasions, the heroin the defendant sold to the officer was mixed with fentanyl.

Following the undercover sales, investigators obtained a warrant to search the defendant’s residence on Kenmore Avenue in the City of Buffalo. Officers found more than ½ ounce of heroin in a plastic bag, 31 glassine envelopes containing heroin and more than $2,000 in cash in the home.

Daniels faces a maximum of 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on Friday, December 4 at 9:30 a.m.
