Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that an arrest has been made and charges have been filed against Alec M. Swiderski, 30 of Kamper Street in Buffalo. It is alleged that on or about December 23, 2018, Swiderski caused the death of his grandmother Pamela Toy, 74 of the same address.
Swiderski was charged with Murder in the Second Degree at his arraignment this morning in Buffalo City Court. He was remanded by Buffalo City Court Judge Shannon Heneghan. There is a further proceeding scheduled for Friday, December 28, 2018 in the morning.
The case is being prosecuted by Colleen Curtin Gable, Chief of the Homicide Bureau.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
