Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 38-year-old Timothy Dozier of Buffalo has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia to 2 ½ years in prison followed by 2 years of post-release supervision. The defendant was sentenced today as a second felony offender.

In July 2018, the Buffalo Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the defendant’s apartment on Amherst Street where they recovered cocaine, fentanyl, packaging materials, and a scale.

Dozier pleaded guilty to two counts of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, “D” felonies, on March 8, 2019.

DA Flynn commends Detectives Bart Adams and Shawn Adams of the Buffalo Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Brian D. Langenfeld of the DA’s Tactical Prosecution Unit and Ryan M. Flaherty of the Felony Trials Bureau.
