Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 33-year-old Jaquon Snell of Buffalo pleaded guilty, as charged, before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C” violent felony.
On September 11, 2018, parole officers found the defendant in possession of a loaded pistol, located under a mattress, while conducting a routine search at a residence on Durham Avenue in the City of Buffalo.
Snell, a second violent felony offender, faces a maximum of 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
DA Flynn commends the New York State Division of Parole for their work in the investigation.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Brian D. Langenfeld of the DA’s Tactical Prosecution Unit.
